So the semester has come and gone, and many of my friends have graduated college this semester. Barely being able to see two of my closest friends this semester since they dorm, we were in need of a GNO- girls night out.
My best friend, Toniann or aka Toni's Taste, suggested that we go to Spuntino Wine Bar. After looking at the menu, we realized it was Tapas styled. We were kinda nervous to go because we were scared the portions would be too small for us hungry girls, but we left extremely full and happy!
Located in Clifton NJ, Spuntino is a very cute Italian restaurant that has made a fine reputation of it's Italian styled snacks. While they do offer some big portion items on their menu, their menu mainly consists of small portioned items, including meatballs, sausage and broccoli rabe, fig and prosciutto and even flat iron steak!
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, rich with music and the sweet aroma of spices. Our waitress was such a sweetheart. She helped us with making our choices for food and for our wine (Which was delicious by the way) and really did a fine job overall. Our glasses were always full, and she always made sure to check on us.
Emily, Toniann and I shared truffle fries, brussel sprouts, prosciutto pizza, meatballs, tomato & basil, and flat iron steak......yeah... let's just say we couldn't move for a solid 30 minutes. One of the other things I loved about this restaurant was that they did not rush us. We took our time, ate as fast or as slow as we wanted, and we sat there for two hours, just catching up on life and of course, venting.
This is an awesome place to have small parties and get togethers with close family and friends. I highly suggest this restaurant to anyone living in the North Jersey area, and am looking forward to coming back in the near future.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
