Happy Valentine's Day! ... or to my single people: Happy Thursday. Valentine's Day, as most of us can agree, is a "Hallmark Holiday", created for stores to make money on cards, candy flowers, food, etc. To many this holiday may seem like a major responsibility. Some people may get depressed because of their single status. The pressures of getting a loved one the perfect gift or taking them to the most expensive and exclusive restaurant on February 14 are too much on people. We need to remind ourselves that February 14th is just another day. Take a deep breath and evaluate how you want to enjoy this day. If you are in a relationship, would you like to spend this day with a significant other? If you are single, would you like to enjoy it by yourself? Or, if you are one of the other, would you rather just spend it with the girls and make it a #GalentinesDay ? Hmm.... You have options!! And yes, I wrote Galentine's Day, a day you can spend with your gal pals.
(Side Note: You don't have to celebrate Valentine's Day on February 14th. You can celebrate love any time of the year!!)
I wanted to write this article to give my readers some easy ideas on what to do on Valentine's Day, whether you are Single, Taken or want to spend it with the Gals.
For my #Cuffed and #ForeverSingle and #GalentinesDay Ready Readers:
+ Cook a meal together at home and watch a movie

I personally like to do a Galentine's Day with my BFF's and also celebrate February 14th with my boyfriend. Before I was even in a relationship, every year starting Freshman year of High School I would go out on a date with my best friend for Valentine's Day. It is a tradition we continue to have, even if we don't celebrate it February 14th. It gives us a reason to go out, reconnect and show our love and appreciation for one another!
I have been in a relationship for 3 years now, and although this year Mike and I decided to be fancy and go out to Capital Grille for dinner, every other Valentine's Day we celebrated together was laid back and fun. No worries about breaking the bank, just pure relaxation and fun with the one you love most. Our first Valentine's Day, Mike made me my favorite meal and we relaxed at home and watched movies. Last year, we sparred each other (Boxer Problems) and then rewarded our hard workout with a delicious meal from Chick Fil A while we watched our favorite show. I myself have never been much of a materialistic person. I live for EXPERIENCES. I like to live in the moment and enjoy my time with the people I love. That is what matters to me the most.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
